Successful candidate must be able to develop business requirements and documents for software development projects, provide support and operational guidance to development team, research software enhancements and communicate with senior management. ARMtech Insurance Services is seeking qualified, hard-working software engineers to participate in the development, maintenance and enhancement of business applications and special projects as assigned.

Software engineers will design, write, and test code for ARMtech’s suite of proprietary software programs.  In addition to creating new programs, features, etc., software engineers will also be expected to analyze existing systems and recommend more efficient solutions.

Successful candidates will possess a high degree of knowledge in various hardware and software applications, including a myriad of programming languages, object oriented programming, relational databases, and service oriented architectures.  Software engineers should be familiar with server database designs and development, including design techniques and database performance considerations, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, exhibit a propensity for problem solving and analytics, prove able to multi-task to meet deadlines, and work well both independently and as a part of a team.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, though equivalent technical training is acceptable with three of more years of programming experience ideal.

Software engineers will report to the Vice President of Systems, and compensation is salaried, commensurate with experience.


Marketing Representative (All States)    APPLY NOW!

ARMtech Insurance Services is seeking a Marketing Representative. Acting as a primary point of contact for agents, marketing representatives are expected to interpret government regulations associated with the Federal Crop Insurance Program, including researching agent concerns and providing timely, professional follow-up.  They will train agents on both ARMtech procedure and company software while working to service, sell, and market products to agents and insureds.  Successful candidates will be self-starters with strong analytical skill who pay attention to detail and can work with minimal supervision.  They should be able to communicate clearly and effectively while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating abilities to persuade and then sell to customers.  In addition to maintaining existing ARMtech relationships, marketing representatives will be asked to make cold calls to prospective agents and be available to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays.  They will be expected to learn how to use ARMtech’s proprietary suite of software programs, train agents, and conduct large group meetings, including public speaking. High school education or equivalent is required with five or more years of related experience preferred.  Familiarity with underwriting concepts, guidelines, practices, and procedures within the crop insurance industry is a must.
